STRONGER THAN YOU THINK YOU ARE

STRONGER THAN YOU THINK YOU ARE

Who cries when they work out?! Umm, ok so maybe I did this morning, not because I was working out,  but because I was thinking  and praying on so many things. The frailty of life, pain we go through, my new season of being a preteen mom. No one ever told me how much mental strength it takes, or how very much fun it is to get to know a more grown up version of your child! I find myself wondering if I have what it takes to raise these not so little ones in my life?  I was also thinking about Caleb and Joshua, the two that gave a “good report” Numbers 13-14.
Can you envision it? The whole community was there........

BEING PERFECTED

BEING PERFECTED

Have you ever made a batch of tortillas?  They are not hard to make, but the perfection of them can often takes years and years of practice.  I am not kidding.  I have and continue to try and have not reached that point.

BE YOUR NAME 1 Peter 2:9

BE YOUR NAME 1 Peter 2:9

Names and meaning of names are so very significant. I love looking up what different names mean in my favorite stories from the Bible. When I looked up Hadassah’s name I was perplexed.  Hadassah meant “Myrtle Tree”. I thought to myself,  “Myrtle tree?!” Why was Hadassah named after a tree? One thing I did know, is that my heavenly Father is very detailed and intricate in his Word and that there had to be more to this! I knew I needed to search further.

KEEP SHOWING UP

KEEP SHOWING UP

Do you see this?  This is a magnet with a picture of a Double Bass on it.

Rewind.

It belongs to one of my children. They received it about two years ago. I found it first in the car. I announced whose is this? I think at that point someone claimed it. I have found it in different rooms several times. I have retrieved it on the floor and in corners. In the hallway multiple times. All the while asking whose is this? Does anyone want it? About a month ago I almost threw it away-but somehow lost track of it????

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

This time of year is full of goals, aspirations, and the hope that the New Year brings. We should want the best of the New Year, to work hard and be better than we were, to be more loving, more content, to serve with whole hearted devotion in all that we do. Yes to all of this!!!

I was talking to my best friend the other day(my husband) in the kitchen. I asked him “Do you think people in Biblical times had goals? How about Job? Do you think he thought of things in this way?”

My Light and my Salvation.

My Light and my Salvation.

This Thanksgiving we traveled at night. There is something so surreal and quiet about it. There is a mixture of mystery and the unknown. What lies ahead? Will this stretch of road continue endlessly? All questions that come to mind as you are driving at the speed of 75 miles per hour.
