KEEP SHOWING UP

Do you see this?  This is a magnet with a picture of a Double Bass on it.

Rewind.

It belongs to one of my children. They received it about two years ago. I found it first in the car. I announced whose is this? I think at that point someone claimed it. I have found it in different rooms several times. I have retrieved it on the floor and in corners. In the hallway multiple times. All the while asking whose is this? Does anyone want it? About a month ago I almost threw it away-but somehow lost track of it????

Fast forward.

This week I found it in the living room and figured I could re-purpose it—and then I lost it………AGAIN!!!!! This morning I was doing laundry and heard a CLANK when I was putting clothes in the dryer.

Yup. You guessed it. The infamous Double Bass magnet!!!!

Somehow this thing keeps coming back, again and again and again. It never quits!!!!……….EVER apparently.  I am pretty much laughing at the tenacity and determination of this magnet.

I want to be like this magnet. I want to keep showing up in the story of my life. To be present for my husband, kids, family, friends and community! To be the woman that the Father has created me to be.

Have you every felt like giving up? Throwing in the towel, cause life is hard?

DONT.

Friends don’t give up. Trust me there are seasons that can knock the wind out of you and make you feel that way, don’t listen. You are so VERY needed in the story of your life.  YOU are of great value my friend! You matter so much, don’t give up, keep walking, keep growing, keep loving and showing up EVERY day!!!

I leave you with these words of wisdom:

“Have the tenacity of a Double Bass magnet today!!!!”—YOU GOT THIS!!!!

love, Tess

ps.  For those of you wondering……..I will not be throwing away the magnet (LOL)

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”~Esther 4:14

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.~ Hebrews 12:1-3
